After two weeks of voting from Co-op members, Chapel St Leonards Primary School have been crowned Community Champions of their area meaning that the Co-op store in Chapel St Leonards will begin fundraising for the school’s Early Years renovation project in September.
With an outdoor play area in need of modernisation, the school are looking to install some interactive learning resources to develop the children’s gross motor skills, communication and social skills, and independence through active learning.
From Sunday 6th November, proceeds from carrier bag sales, collection boxes, event days, staff fundraising and the use of dividend cards when Co-op members shop in store will generate funds for the school renovation project. Each week a new fundraising total will be displayed on the store Community Champions board until the scheme ends on Friday 27th November.
With a projected fundraising total between £500 and £1000 to enhance the learning and nurture of the school’s youngest pupils, don’t forget to keep an eye out in the Chapel St Leonards Co-op during the autumn months!
